AOL's Instant Messenger is rapidly becoming a popular way to "chat" with other Internet users. AOL has made it available to all Internet users, whether or not they subscribe to AOL services. epix™ Internet Services, which has no affiliation or formal agreement of any kind with AOL, chose to make access to AOL's Instant Messenger as easy as possible for our subscribers by providing a download link from our main home page. When the program is downloaded, users may notice that it is described as an Internet "trial" version.

We see no evidence that the software which has been made available is anything other than fully functional, but we have no control over AOL with respect to whether or not they will, at some time in the future, impose a charge for registration on their server, which is required to use the program, or change the program that would have an impact on its use by non-AOL subscribers.
